VULNERABLE COMMUNITIES
While the strain from this pandemic is tangible for all of us, we’re coming alongside vulnerable communities such as migrant camps, immigrant churches, homeless shelters and serving colonias along the southern border where the spread of the virus could have severe impact. Vulnerable communities are particularly vulnerable to the spread of COVID-19. Migrant camps like the one on the South Texas and Mexico border are densely populated and have limited resources at hand. According to the UNHCR, 2.6 million refugees currently live in refugee camps around the world, and millions more live in informal dwellings or densely populated urban areas.

Part of our partnership model is to thoroughly vet partners who are already doing great work. We work alongside churches and leaders responding all across the South Texas border. We believe they know best regarding how to meet their growing needs in their local communities.
