 peacemakers MOVEMENT

What does it mean to be a peacemaker?

In a world where we have been conditioned to avoid conflict, peacemaking takes a commitment to move toward it.

Our work at Border Perspective embraces this commitment to move towards conflict, engage nuanced issues, and honor the dignity every person has as image-bearers. The love of Christ compels us to persevere in our mission: to educate, equip, and mobilize people of faith through Biblical resources and service learning trips along the U.S. and Mexico border.

For us, this is what it means to be a peacemaker

What is the Peacemakers Movement?

The purpose of this movement is to see people from across the nation come together and take one step deeper into a commitment of being a peacemaker. The work of Border Perspective truly happens within the context of community; with many people engaging in various ways.

Specifically for our organization and this movement, we want to see people help us raise awareness about our mission and create memorable events in their communities that also raise funds for our cause. Together, we can raise awareness and donations in unique ways which ultimately will help make a difference in the work happening at the South Texas and Mexico border.

Your Generosity Helps Us Mobilize Churches

“The Service-Learning Trip with Border Perspectives is a great way to do meaningful work with longstanding community ministry partners while also learning about the immigration process and putting names, faces, and stories into the conversation.” — MLPS City Church

Your Generosity Helps Local Immigrant Leaders

“When Mario watches people leave Border Missions with their hands full and smiles on their faces, he thinks of love — the holy and perfect love he believes is given to humans as a gift from God and shared from one person to the next. For him, that is the message he wants to share: Behind all of the food is a God who wants to freely give his love to others.”

Your Generosity Helps Us Equip Next-Gen Leaders

“As a member of this community, I wanted to join an organization dedicated to educating others about the immigration challenges we face. God can use anyone to help those in need, regardless of your faith or political affiliation. Being called to serve does not only involve physical labor, but building relationships too.” — Sarah, Next Gen Alumni

Our work is made possible because of people like you who believe in our mission.

We know that by joining together we can stretch our impact wider than we could do on our own. God has miraculously and abundantly provided again and again. We trust He will continue to do so through His people, people like you. When peacemakers like you unite together, we know we will become an unstoppable movement of people living out Christ-like welcome and generosity.
